Staying at Redwood

Redwood is a private ski lodge located on the slopes in North Perisher.
We offer accommodation to non–members, providing a member is present.

We have seven bed rooms, each described below.

Please be aware of your responsibilities

Guests must provide their own sheets, pillow slips, towels and food. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. You must clean your rooms and public areas before departing. All your rubbish must be removed or sorted and stored in the in the facility provided under the northern deck. Observe the shutdown procedure listed by the coded door if last to leave. Observe all other notices resorting of rubbish and fire procedure. Bathroom facilities are shared.

Bedrooms 1 and 2

These two double rooms are on level 2 at southern end of lodge, and look back towards the main valley. They are mirror images of each other, and are spacious with queen size beds. Heating is provided by strip electric units mounted on the wall and electric blankets. Ample storage is provided.
Bedrooms on level 2 share a shower, a spa bath and one toilet.

Bedroom 3

This triple bedroom is on level 2, at the eastern side of the lodge.
It receives the morning sun and is a great place to wake to hit the slopes bright and early.
This bedroom is roomy and has three single beds.
Heating is provided by an electric heater and electric blankets.
Ample storage is provided.
Bedrooms on level 2 share a shower, a spa bath and one toilet.

Bedrooms 4 and 5

These two bedrooms are on level 2 at northern end of lodge looking out down the valley towards Blue Cow.
These two rooms are very similar, they are normally set up with a single bed and can be configured with two single beds if the overall numbers permit.
Heating is provided by strip electric units mounted on the wall and electric blankets.
These rooms are warm during the day as they gather the sun’s heat from the north. Ample storage is provided.
Bedrooms on level 2 share a shower, a spa bath and one toilet.

Bedroom 6

This room is the only bedroom on the living level of the lodge and is adjacent to a shared bathroom.
The room is on the northern side of the lodge with a view over the northern deck towards Blue Cow.
This bedroom has one queen size bed, is bright with sunshine during the day, and quiet during the evening and night.
This room would best suit a guest with a mobility impairment, as its location on the living level and minimises the need to climb stairs.
Heating is provided by strip electric units mounted on the wall and electric blankets.
Ample storage is provided.

Family Bedroom 7 and 8

This room is in the basement and has a double standard bed and two bunk beds for children (the top bunk has easy access via a folding down side).
Windows provide ventilation and light from the morning sun. The rooms temperature is controlled by under floor heating and electric oil heaters if required.
This makes this an ideal family room. This room is located near recently renovated bathroom.
The beds have electric blankets and there is ample storage.

Lounge Room

The lounge room is situated on the southern side on the living level. It has views to the main valley in the south, up the mountain of North Perisher and across the valley to Mount Piper.
During the day, non-skiers can relax and watch the action on the ski slopes outside. This room has a very special ambiance at night, with the fire blazing and the snow illuminated by outside flood lights.
As well as the two lounges shown in the photo, a third lounge provides a more private area to read or relax and a table is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or card game with a small group.
Heating is provided by a combustion fire, a gas heater and electric strip heaters.

Kitchen

Redwood has a large, fully equipped kitchen where we do our own cooking. There are two electric ovens an electric cook top and a gas cook top. All cooking utensils are provided.
Guests must provide their own food. Food can be carried in via snow cat with your luggage, or ordered and delivered by the grocer in the main valley.
Redwood’s dining room can comfortable seat nine guests, a table in the lounge room seats six.
BBQ facilities are available on the northern deck and a glass windshield makes this area a perfect place to eat or read whilst surrounded by deep snow drifts.
There are excellent restaurants within North Perisher itself.
A walk through the snow or a snow cat ride provides access to the restaurants and bars of the main valley.
